An agreed-upon procedures (AUP) engagement is a specialized service where we as independent practitioners perform specific, partner-defined testing on the information systems used to generate the reports you rely on most. Unlike a traditional financial statement audit or review, we do not provide an opinion, conclusion, or overall level of assurance. Rather, we deliver a factual report detailing exactly what tests were run and what results were found.

Partners, such as airports, grocery stores, restaurant chains, and local or state governments, often fall short in the technical skillset necessary to effectively inspect the systems and components that generate their most important reports. As Certified Information Systems Auditors (CISAs) who specialize in these technology platforms and the partners they share revenue with, we provide these organizations with confidence that the people, processes, and technology behind their most important decision making tools are properly managed. Our CISAs are always the ones diving into these systems, however we do understand the importance of these reports being attested to by Certified Public Accountants (CPAs). When it is a defined requirement, we work directly with CPAs to issue our reports in accordance with the AICPA’s requirements over SSAE No. 19, Agreed-Upon Procedures Engagements.
